Physics 2X00: From Classical Physics Into the Quantum World

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Really cool and chill opportunity to learn about the research going on in the department. You have to go to a certain number of lectures to “Pass” but I recommend all of the lectures because it’s actually really cool and you might learn about new areas of physics that you didn’t even know about before. Plus you never know if you suddenly can’t attend the later lectures, so avoid missing earlier ones to give yourself a buffer.

Very relaxing course. It’s a great way to learn about what research is being done in physics at McMaster. It is a not for credit course (i.e. Pass/Fail) and all you have to do to pass is attend a certain number of lectures. There is one lecture a week and each week there is a different professor speaking about his/her research. Not every week may speak to your interests but there is definitely something for everyone.

Textbook: Not Required

Methods of Evaluation: Nothing. It’s 0 credits.
