Rating: 5 out of 5.

Easy course. Basic high school genetics knowledge will suffice. Course breakdown is favourable (no exam, one test gets dropped). Good prof and interesting content as well.

Overall, this course is one of the heavier life science courses. The content is not too difficult to understand, but you do need to put in a considerable amount of effort to get a good grade. Weekly quizzes cover tutorial content and the tests focus on lecture content. Although there are no trick questions on the test, the amount of content you have to memorize is a good amount. The average for the tests was 75%, which is not bad given that it’s a genetics course.

Textbook: Not Required

Methods of Evaluation: Tests, Assignments, Group Projects
